Funeral Services for Dwight Riggs, 62, former Clinton resident will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Ledtkey McIntosh. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Dwight Riggs was born March 4,1954 to Francis K. Riggs and Gwendolyn (Fire) Riggs in Clinton, OK and passed away early Saturday, July 2,2016 in the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK. Mr. Riggs was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton schools. He also attended Chilocco Indian School where graduated in 1972. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he was very active in the Upward Bound Program. He was involved in an automobile accident when was 19 years old; he was seriously injured and then he developed diabetes, therefore he has spent much of his life in health care facilities. He has made his homes in Clinton, Oklahoma City, Moore and Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis K. Riggs and, Blynn Riggs and Gwendolyn and John Hil. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church; he loved sports was an avid Oklahoma University and Thunder fan; he loved board games and especially dominoes and chess. He is survived by his four sisters, Diana Barton, Clinton, Adrienne Kinney and husband, Woodrow, Shawnee, Judi Detmer and husband, Lynn, Mounds, OK,. Carole Morris and husband, Michael, Clinton and two brothers, Robert D. Riggs and wife, Rosa, Irving, Texas and Keith Riggs and wife, Brenda, Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews.
