Ernest Burton

Graveside Services for Ernest Burton, 94, will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in the Stafford Cemetery in Stafford, OK officiated by Rev. Buck Nicholson, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Ernest Wesley Burton was born on August 26, 1923 in Asher, Oklahoma to George Franklin and Martha M. (Moller) Burton and passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City. Ernest went to Sequoah School, moving to Clinton, OK in 1930. Ernest moved to Claremore in 1936, then moving to California in 1940, returning to Stafford, Oklahoma in 1995. He lived in South Lake Tahoe, NV where he met and married Shirley (Babcock) Stocks. Ernest worked as a farmer, in a Wrecking Yard, and was a Security Guard at Blue Diamond Almond Factory. He enjoyed yard work, any outdoor activity, and fixing all kinds of riding lawn mowers. Ernest in preceded in death by his parents, wife Shirley, brothers Alfred Burton and Lee Burton, and his sisters, Mary Smith, Laura Crane, and Annie Cook. He is survived by his two step-sons, Dale Stocks and wife Dovey, Red Bluff, CA, and Dane Stocks, of Germany; a step-daughter, Verna, and one granddaughter, Debbie Laudel, Modesto, CA
