A Memorial Service for Hazel Johnson, 91, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 27, 2014 in the First Christian Church, officiated by Dr. Randy Willingham (Grandson) and Rev. Wendell Folsom and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Hazel Marie Johnson was born February 2, 1923 to Tomas R. and Olivia (Tilley) Fondren in Stafford, OK and passed away Monday, March 24, 2014 in her home in Clinton, OK. Mrs. Johnson was raised in the Stafford Community and attended school in Stafford. She married Wilbern Johnson on April 20, 1940 in Arapaho. They soon made their home in California but returned back to the Clinton area in 1941. She owned and operated the Jean's Café for a short time in the early 1950s. She was later employed as a dietician at the Tuberculosis Sanatorium and she worked as the social director at the Highland Park Nursing Home (now Grace Living Center). During the oil boom in the 1980's she worked as a sales representative for Dream House Mobile Homes as well as doing Census work for the government. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and four sisters, Julia Keeton, Orena Ferris, Pauline Bateman and Gertrude Johnson and four brothers, Wesley Fondren, Jesse Fondren, Floyd Fondren, and Bob Fondren. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church, she loved to interior decorate, quilting, gardening, woodworking, read and she enjoyed all types of music. She is survived by daughters, Carrie Willingham and husband, Royce, Clinton, Lanna Jones and husband, Daryl, Clinton, Mary Gay Harbin and husband, Ray, Midwest City, , Cherry Thompson, Clinton Vicki Watkins and husband, Kenneth, Arapaho, and Pauline Celsor and husband, Scott, Yukon, She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren
