Funeral Services for Marilyn Coit, 83, Clinton resident and former Custer City resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Kathy Coit. Burial will follow in the Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Marilyn Frances Coit was born April 21, 1933 to Harvey and Grace (Dovel) Cobb in Custer County and passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 in the Alliance Health Clinton. Marilyn was raised in the Arapaho area and graduated Valedictorian of her 1950 Senior Class. She was married to Lyle F. Coit, Jr., in 1952. They made their home in the Custer City area where they farmed until they moved to Edmond, OK in 1963. She made her home back in Custer County in 1985 and has been a resident of the Grace Living Center, due to failing health, for the past several years. She was a member of the Methodist Church, she was a stay at home mom and her family was her career. She was active with her children while they were growing up and participated in all their activities. She loved to cook, sew embroidery and do hand work. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Barbara Coit and a brother, Bob Cobb. She is survived by a daughter, Renee Beene and husband, Robert, Edmond, OK, two sons, Roger Coit and Lynn Chastain, Custer City, OK and Randy Coit and wife, Kathy, Edmond, OK; two sisters, Betty Cabaniss, Clinton and Billie Schultz, of MO; sister in law, Naomi Davenport, Denton, TX and brother in law, Darrell Coit, Custer City, OK. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and her Grace Living Center family where she has spent the last 23 years. The family will greet guest at the funeral home, 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
