Funeral Services for Nella May Escobedo, 81, former Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 12, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Doyle Kinney, burial will follow in the Union Hatchett Cemetery near Bessie, OK under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Nella May (Jernigan) Escobedo was born December 9, 1934 to Friday Preston Jernigan and Lola May (McFarland) Jernigan in Martha, Oklahoma and passed away Monday, February 9, 2016 in her Enid, OK home. Nella was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1952. She soon moved to Dallas/ Fort Worth, Texas area and later made her homes in Kansas and California and Washington State for many years. She returned back to Oklahoma and settled in Enid in 2002. She had worked as a Keypunch Operator for Rusco Electronics and Nintendo Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Sidney Jernigan and a grandson, Shawn Preston Phillips. She had a passion for animals and loved her little Yorkie. She is survived by four daughters, Michelle Blair, Butler, Debbie Murray and husband Gary, Tuttle, Lica Estrada White and husband Donald, Noble, OK and Jennifer Escobedo, Oregon; two brothers, David Jernigan and wife, Pat, and Johnny Jernigan and wife, all of Bessie, OK. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
