Virginia Cometsevah

A Memorial Service for Virginia ”Jean” Cometsevah, 87, will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Gerald Panana and burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Virginia Cometsevah was born July 19, 1934 in Rehoboth. She was born of the Red Running into Water Clan, born for the Bitter Water Clan and passed away August 18, 2021 in Gallup, NM. Cometsevah received her nursing degree from Oklahoma General Hospital in Clinton, OK and retired from the U.S. Public Health Service, Indian Health Services on January 7, 2000 after 45 years of service. She is survived by daughters, Winona Cometsevah, Ceclia Cometsevah, and Susan Cometsevah; brother Raymond Barton; sisters Shirley Henry and Willimena Matern; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Cometsevah and son, Raymondo and Michael Cometsevah.
