Ada Belle (Bradney) Lee was born February 1, 1916 to Charley Calvin Bradney and Helen (Kluver) Bradney in Geary, Oklahoma and passed away late Saturday, March 5, 2016 in the Elk Crossing Nursing and Rehab Center in Duncan, OK. Ada was raised in Geary and attended Victory Country School at the edge of town. Ada felt getting a good education was very important and on numerus occasions she would stay with other families in town so that she would not have to miss school due to bad roads. She was one of 49 students in her class; she graduated Salutatorian of the 1934 graduating class. She was also chosen to be the football queen her senior year. She continued her education at the Hills Business College and graduated in December of 1935 and that same month she was married to Otto Lee on December 22, 1935. They couple purchased a farm east of Custer City on August 30, 1946. She then moved her church membership from Pleasant Hill to the Custer City Baptist Church in 1961. She was very active in church and managed the nursery and was a helping help during Vacation Bible School. Mrs. Lee loved to garden and worked in her vegetables and flowers. She was an accomplished seamstress, making western shirts, wedding dresses, home décor, drapery's, bedspreads and pillows. She was an outstanding cook; in her spare time she loved to play canasta and she was very active in two different card clubs for over 50 years. On her 100th birthday she was invited to the fourth grade class at a Duncan Grade School to speak to the children. They were celebrating 100 days of school and they wanted to know what it was like to be 100 years old. The children made her cards and sang happy birthday to her along with a skit. She really WOWed the Children with her wittiness and knowledge. She is preceded in death by her husband, Otto, her parents, three brothers, Roland, Alvin and James and her daughter-in-law, Mary Frances (Fry) Lee. She is survived by two sons, Lyle Dean Lee and wife, Donna, Weatherford, OK, Charles Edward "Eddie" Lee and wife, Sharon, Custer City, OK, daughter, Shirley Ann (Lee) Hilliard and husband, Rev.
