Alejandro Venegas Rivera

A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held for Alejandro Venegas Rivera, 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiated by Father Mandagiri Balaswamy. The burial will continue in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, January 8, 2024, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel.

Alejandro Venegas Rivera was born April 22, 1943, to David Venegas and Maria de Jesus Rivera in Matamoras Coah, Mexico and passed away January 5, 2024, in the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Alejandro was raised and attended school in Mexico. He started coming to the United States when he was about 15 years old. He moved to Oklahoma at a young age and worked all over Western Oklahoma. He settled in Clinton in 1979. He was a farm laborer, he worked at the Cotton Oil Mill, and the Railroad. He also worked as a Foreman on a Ranch. He was known to pedal watermelons, cantaloupe, and other fresh vegetables to his many friends and relatives.

He was a member of the Catholic Church; he enjoyed watching westerns and was a big fan of John Wayne. His passion was his family and listening to Mexican Music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Nancy Venegas and son, David Venegas, five sisters, Ameila Venegas, Desideria Venegas, Maria Venegas, Cruz Venegas, and Francisca Venegas, two brothers, Benito y Venegas, and David Venegas.

He is survived by his wife, Celia, of the home, daughters, Francisca Venegas and husband, Arturo Grana, Mexico, Ofelia Acevedo and husband, Eloy, Elk City, Oralia Orozco and husband, Gerardo, OKC, OK, Sylvia Marquez, Clinton, OK, Celia Lopez and husband, Sergio, Clinton, OK, Nancy Venegas Galvan and husband, Fernando Munoz, OKC OK, sons, Eloy Venegas, Clinton, OK, Usbaldo Venegas and wife Darcy, Enid, OK, Michael Venegas and wife, Xochitl, OKC, OK, Jose Gutierrez, OKC, OK and David Venegas and wife, Jessenia, Clinton, OK.

He is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
