Funeral Service for Amanda H. Koch, 91, Cordell resident will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2013 in the Peace Lutheran Church, Bessie, OK, officiated by Pastor Joe Thompson and burial will conclude in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Amanda H. (Horn) Koch was born February 6, 1922 to Augusta Hinz Horn and Henry Horn, Sr. in Corn, Oklahoma and passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 in the Bell Ave. Nursing Home in Elk City, OK. She was raised in Corn, Oklahoma and attended the Greenfield School. She was married to August Willie Koch on May 27, 1944 in Bessie, Oklahoma. They made their home in Cordell where they farmed and she assisted him until 1968. She worked in the housekeeping department at the Cordell Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1985. She was a longtime member of the Peace Lutheran Church; she enjoyed playing Pinochle with family and friends, she liked to Dance, do needle work and her passion was spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, six brothers, Albert Horn, Menno Horn, Walter Horn, Paul Horn, Henry Horn, Jr., Arnold Horn and two sisters, Marie Ratcliff, and Tillie Kroeker. She is survived by a son, Keith Koch and his wife, Tammie, of Elk City, OK, two grandsons, Justin Koch and his wife, Christy, of Tuttle, OK and Levi Koch and his wife, Jalyn, of Elk City, OK and two great-grandchildren, Halleigh Koch and Asher Koch. She is also survived by a sister Lora Mae Epp, of Saskatoon, Canada and a sister-in-law, Clara Horn, of Corn, OK and Bonnie Horn, of Cordell, OK.
