A Celebration of Life Service for Amelia Hudgins, 99, Clinton Pioneer, will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 7, 2014 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Doug Lewis. Her graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday prior to the Celebration Service in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will meet and greet guest in the Church Fellowship Hall immediately following the Celebration Service and a meal will be provided for all. Amelia (Meacham) Hudgins was born April 15, 1915 to Cecil and Artie ( Culwell ) Meacham on the Meacham Farm southwest of Clinton, Oklahoma and she went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 1, 2014 in the Sterling House in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Amelia was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She married Hadley Hudgins and they began a career in farming west of Clinton. Amelia is survived by a son Ladd Hudgins and his wife, Maxine (Fransen) Hudgens, of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She has three grandchildren, Todd Hudgins and his wife, Jennifer, of Tulsa. Their three children are Camryn, Braden and Amelia. A second grandson, Chad, and his wife, Chelle, live in Erie, Colorado, and they had two children Christian and Joshua. A granddaughter Christa Spanich, and husband, Adam and a daughter Hadley live in Tulsa. Amelia is one of thirteen children. One sister Millie Cruson of Clinton and one brother, Press Meacham and his wife, Billie of Oklahoma City, survive. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Amelia was very close to her niece Linda Agan and he husband, Marvin, of Clinton. Her special friends Yvonne Fransen and Wanda Johnson also of Clinton were a great source of encouragement and joy. Ameila also had many other family members and friends who blessed her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hadley, of over 50 years. The family request that any contributions in her memory be made to the First Baptist Church JOY Ministries Clinton, OK or the Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
