Funeral services for Amy Dawn (Snider) Avera, age 50, of Clinton, will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton, and officiated by Penny Berry. Burial will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery east of Clinton under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Amy was born February 17, 1968, in Clinton to Roger and Donna (Lorenz) Snider in Clinton, OK and passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Oklahoma City. Amy was raised in Clinton, and graduated from Clinton High School in 1986, then graduated from South Western Oklahoma State University in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration, later going to Aladdin's Beauty Academy graduating in 2007 with her Cosmetology License, and a Master Instructors License. Amy was a member of the Clinton First United Methodist Church, and worked at the Western Technology Center at Burns Flat as an Assistant Cosmetology Instructor. She was married to Robert Avera on October 15, 2012, in Oklahoma City. Her hobbies include boating, and fishing, family vacations, outdoors, snow skiing, water skiing, shopping, gardening, loving animals, wheat harvest, and spending time with Colt her grandson. She was preceded in death by her son R.C. Byrd, her maternal grandparents Glenda and Don Lorenz, her paternal grandparents, Margery and Weldon Snider, and a cousin Jason Lorenz. She is survived by her husband Robert of their home, her parents Roger and Donna Snider of Clinton, her sister's Dana Hoffman and husband Dr. Mark of Weatherford, Shannon Dowdell and husband Ernie of Clinton, her step daughters Dawn Casias and her husband Alex of Burns Flat, her stepson Tracy Avera and his wife Mariah of Elk City, a grandson Colt Byrd, and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and other Friends. She is also survived by nephews, Matthew Hoffman and wife, Keela, Jacob Hoffman and Sam Hoffman; Snider Dowdell, nieces Glenda Kate Dowdell and Emma Dowdell.
