A Funeral Service for Anita Ann Yellow Eagle, 36, Weatherford resident will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 30, 2016 in the Zion Evangelical Free Church in Weatherford, officiated by Rev. Gerald Watson and Rev. Rudolph Tartsah, Jr. Burial will conclude in the Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. A traditional all night wake service will be held starting 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 29, 2016 in the Clinton Cheyenne Arapaho Community Building. Anita Ann Yellow Eagle was born September 12, 1979 to Thern Starr and Yolanda Yellow Eagle in Weatherford, OK and passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in Mt. View, OK. Anita was raised in Weatherford where she graduated from high school in 1998. She also received her Certified Nursing Certificate and continued her education at Oklahoma Southwestern State University. She was employed with the Lucky Star Casino in Clinton as a Black Jack Dealer for over 12 years. She was a member of the Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribes; Native American Church; she loved sports and in high school she was on the basketball team; she loved the outdoors and fishing. She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Ben Joe Yellow Eagle and her maternal grandmother Minnie Yellow Eagle. She is survived by a son, Chris Tall Bear, Thomas, OK and two daughters, Pavenah Tall Bear, Thomas and Ofelia Yellow Eagle, Mountain View; her mother and step father, Yolanda and Raymond Cometsevah, brother, Jared Yellow Eagle, sister, Julia Tartsah, Mountain View and Grandparents, Ben and Joan Eagle, all of Walsenburg, CO, adoptive parents, Garett and Elizabeth Tartsah, Mt. View, OK. She is also survived by her paternal grandfather, Moses Starr, Weatherford, and grandmother, Beulah Penn, Clinton and Grandfather, Leonard Yellow Eagle, Weatherford.
