Funeral Services for Annabelle Taylor, 93, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday February 11, 2017 in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow in the Mound Cemetery in Taloga under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Annabelle (Rea) Taylor was born July 16, 1923 to Oscar Lynch Rea and Faye (Burt) Rea and passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in the Great Plains Regional Hospital in Elk City, OK. Grannie Annie as she was known by family and friends moved to Oklahoma City with her parents when she was 7 years old. She attended Central High School and graduated in 1940. She continued her education at the Oklahoma State University graduated with a bachelor's degree in Science. She was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Oklahoma City for over a year. She was marred to Darryle Lee Taylor November 19, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK. They had made their homes in Panama, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The family moved to Clinton in 1972. Mr. Taylor preceded her in death in March of 1973. After her husband's death she joined the work force and her first job was at the Redland Theatre as ticket taker, then she ran the concession stand and onto running the projector and finally she became the manager until . She was employed with Clinton Regional Hospital in the emergency room clerk from 1984 till 1995. She was a longtime faithful and active member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church and served as Lay minister and about every other position in the church local as well as district and state level. She had volunteered in numerous hospitals and prisons including the Presbyterian Hospital in Oklahoma City, Joseph Harp Correctional Center, Lexington Correction Center, She also received her education for ministry from the College of the South in Sewanee, TN; she did personal service for the inmates at the Mable Bassett Ladies Correction Center. She was a very active member of the AARP. She is also preceded in death by her parents and a son Dean Taylor, grandson, Michael Taylor and sister, Peggy Inge. She is survived by daughter Jean Simpson and husband, Jim, of Clinton, a son, Ralph Taylor and wife Lyndean, Corn, and daughter in law, Kathy Taylor, of California. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
