Chapel Services for Arthur Fanshier, 84, Clinton resident, will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, January 7, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs. Burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Arthur Arnold Fanshier was born July 11, 1936 to George W. and Mary B. (Kemper) Fanshier in Elk City, OK and passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 in the Clinton Veterans Center in Clinton, OK. Arthur was raised in Elk City and graduated from Elk City High School in 1952. He soon enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 and was honorably discharged in 1957. He married Geraldine Taylor December 31, 1960 in Elk City. He later married Myrl Lewis on June 26, 1973 in Stewart, FL. He drove a truck in the oilfield for several years and after his retirement he drove a bus for the Arapaho Schools. He was a member of the former Church of God (Now Cornerstone); He loved to square dance and he loved to make and share beef jerky. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives and a son, Michael Wayne Fanshier; three sisters, Caroline Armstrong, Fannie Fanshier, and Ruby Winn and a brother, Ear W. Fanshier and sister in law, Frances Fanshier. He is survived daughter, Teresa Mahan, and son Arnold Fanshier, both of Clinton; sister, Drucilla Ferris, Elk City, OK. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
