Funeral Services for Aurelia Littlebird - Blackbear, 69, Watonga resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, February 4, 2017 in the Watonga Multi-purpose Center, officiated by Rev. Gerald Panana and other Traditional Tribal Leaders sand under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will conclude in the St. Labre Mission in Ashland, Montana under the direction of Stenvenson Funeral Home, Forsyth, Montana . A Traditional all night wake service will be held 7:00 P.M., Friday, February 3, 2017 in the Multi-Purpose Center. Aurelia Littlebird - Blackbear was born December 23, 1947 to Harry Littlebird and Anna Joyce (King) Littlebird in Ashland, Montana and passed away Wednesday February 1, 2017 in the Mercy Hospital In Oklahoma City, OK. Aurelia was raised in Lame, Deer Montana and graduated from St. Labre Indian Mission in 1967. In 1968 and 1969 she served as a Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints Missionary while in Chinle, Arizona. She then moved to Dallas, Texas where she attended Baylor Medical Center and achieved her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree in 1971. She married Eugene Blackbear on November 29, 1976 in Weatherford, OK and they have made their homes in Tulsa, Watonga, Lame Deer, Montana and moved to Watonga in 1990. She has worked as a nurse in most of these locations and most recently had worked for the Indian Health Services in Clinton, El Reno and Watonga. She was a member of the Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints; a member of the NAC and she was a proud member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribe; she enjoyed the traditional Ceremonies, cooking traditional food , doing bead work, singing and she always was smiling and happy. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Limona Littlebird. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Blackbear, of the home, two sisters, Stella Redwolf Blackbear, and Wilma Joyce Blackbear, both of Watonga; she is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters and 10 grandchildren.
