Bert Old Bear

. Funeral Services for Bert Old Bear, 51, Weatherford resident will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2016 in the Cheyenne/Arapaho Community Building, officiated by Rev. Delfred "Bunny" Whitecrow, Jr., and Rev. George Akeen under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will conclude in Garryowen Cemetery in Garryowen, Montana under the direction of the Bullis Mortuary in Hardin, Montana. Bert Warren Old Bear was born April 5, 1965 to Effie (Fighting Bear) in Crow Agency, Montana and passed away very unexpectedly early Tuesday, June 6, 2016 in his Weatherford home. Bert was raised in the Benteen, MT area; he attended and graduated from Lodge Grant High School in 1985. He worked as a farm Laborer in Montana. He moved to Oklahoma several years ago and has been employed at the Luck Star Casino as a security officer. He is member of the Northern Cheyenne Tribes from Lame Deer Montana; he is a member of the Weatherford Indian Baptist Church; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing basketball and football. He was preceded in death by his father, Gus Old Bear, Sr., and two brothers, Stephen Old Bear and Edward Old Bear. He is survived by his parents, Effie and Paul Bear Track, Weatherford, three brothers, David Old Bear, Loris Old Bear and Lee Old Bear, all of Montana; adopted mother, Geraldine Warledo, Clinton, adopted grandparents, Delfred and Eleanor White Crow, Elk City, adopted sister, Debra Sam, Weatherford, four adopted brothers, Delfred Whitecrow, Jr., Elk City, Joel Gallegos, Dustin Vanderpool and Jose Warledo all of Clinton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephan, Tashon, Elijah, Xavier, Heaven and Amori.
