Funeral Services for Betty Jo Borchers, 85, Bessie resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Harold Goldmann. Burial will conclude in the Union Hatchett Cemetery in Bessie, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Betty Jo (Lee) Borchers was born July 7, 1931 to William and Della (Crow) Lee in Clinton, OK and passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at her rural Bessie home. Betty was raised and attended school in Clinton. She married Paul Borchers in May of 1948. They made their home in the Bessie area where they farmed for many years. Besides helping her husband on the farm she joined him in operating the General Mills Elevator in Bessie for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter, Nancy Borchers and three sisters, Flossie Smith, Bonnie Daughtrey and Sybil Johnson. She was a member of the Baptist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hatters. She is survived by four daughters, Paula McKee and husband, Bill, Guthrie, Debbie Payton, Cheyenne, WY, Sherri Goeringer and husband, Leo, Bessie and Patti Parker and husband, Keith, Tulsa, OK a sister in law, Wilma Lantz.
