A memorial service for Betty Day, 88, Clinton resident will be held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in the First United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Rick Robart and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Betty Lee (Long) Day was born November 16, 1928 to Walter Long and Juanita (Cates) Long in Leedey, OK and passed away Tuesday March 7, 2017 in the Methodist Health Care Center. Betty was raised in Leedey, Oklahoma and graduated from Leedey High School in 1946. She soon attended beauty school and received her cosmetology certificate. She married Bob Day October 25, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK. They made their home in Stillwater and she worked in a beauty shop until Bob's graduation and they moved back to Clinton and made it their home. She owned and operated a beauty shop in Clinton for over 20 years. She spent the next several years helping care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active and faithful member of the First United Methodist Church, P.E.O, Jr. Service League, Ladies Bridge Club, Merry Matrons and United Methodist Woman's. s She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, brother, John Long and sister in law, Charlene Long, brothers in law, Eddie Day, Charles Day and a nephew Chuck Day. She is survived by two sons, Daniel Day and wife, Betty, Clinton, and Dr. Patrick Day and wife, Suzanne, Arapaho, four grandchildren, Vincent Day and wife, Katie, Clinton, Angie Brinkley and husband, Michael, Clinton, Mandy Richardson and husband Isaac, and Kenny Day and wife, Dr. Randi, all of Arapaho and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister in law, Lola Day, Clinton, Brother in law Donnie Day and wife, Sarah, Urbana, IL, Aunt Jessie Kauk, Butler; cousins, Vinita Walker, OKC, Carolyn Covel and Janet Rozen, New Haven, CT, Dr. Keith Falsarella and wife, Barbara, Ada, OK and Gene Falsarella and wife, Marcia, Santa Rosa, CA.
