Funeral Services for Bill Barrick, 86, Arapaho resident, will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in the Cornerstone Church, officiated by Pastor Jarrod Nunn. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. William “Bill” I. Barrick was born June 11, 1935 in Arapaho, OK to Troy Barrick and Pearl (Steward) Barrick and passed away early Saturday, September 11, 2021 in the Great Plains Medical Center in Elk City, OK. Bill was raised in Arapaho, OK where he also attended and graduated from Arapaho High School in 1953. He soon married Dorothy Hicks and they moved to Wichita, KS where he was employed with American Electric. They moved back to Oklahoma and lived in Clinton and he was employed as a bookkeeper for the Farmers Coop. In 1964 he was employed with Lin Manufacturing and then moved his family to Bessie in 1967. He worked for Sesco Electric Supply for the next 10 years 1976 until 1986. He worked for Elmer Smith Oil Company staring in 1991 and then transferred to Trust Environmental. In 1997 he owned and operated his own Tank Testing Company. Along with his other employments he was a farmer and rancher up until the present. He was married to Sheila Graybill on June 10, 1972 in Leedey, OK and they made Arapaho their home. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Laverne Barrick; three sisters, Peggy Daugherty, Maxine Orr and Jean Simpson. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church; he raised quarter horses; he enjoyed singing and he performed for numerous occasions, singing at the Country Jamboree and funerals as well as church; he was a square dancer and he was a national caller for the square dancers. He is survived by his wife, Sheila, of the home, three sons, William Bradley Barrick and wife Sheila K. Barrick, Woodward, OK, Gregory McClure and wife, Amy Jo, Dacoma, OK and Brian Barrick and wife Amy, Fletcher, OK; brother Steward Barrick, Clinton and sister, Marlenne Orr, Sheridan, WY; brother in law, Wayne Daugherty and wife, Delores, Arapaho. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Nicole, Hillery, Caleb, Taelor, Brieanna, Gracelyn, William, Kala and Hannah; 11 great-grandchildren, Nyomi, Lola, Kyson, Isaiah, Luke, Jovie, Joshua, Frankie, Blaklei, Brody, Joseph.
