Graveside Services for Bill Challis, 75, lifelong resident of Clinton, OK, will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, January 10, 2022, in the Parkersburg Cemetery, west of Clinton. Services will be officiated by Pastor Daniel Mosburg and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. William “Bill” Hiram Challis was born April 22, 1946, to Raymond A. Challis and Grace (Williams) Challis in Clinton, OK and passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, in his Clinton home surrounded by family. Bill attended Clinton schools and graduated from Clinton High School in 1964. He was married to Barbara Froman on July 17, 1965, in Clinton. He was a cowboy at heart and loved to farm and ranch. However, he also contracted for numerous construction companies. He was a member of the Oklahoma Western Ranch Horse Association and the Quarter Horse Association. He loved spending time with and riding horses, he drove a cow truck and enjoyed his time hauling cattle from Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, son in law, Chris Branson, father-in-law, Hank Froman and mother-in-law, Katie Cypert and his Uncle Lester Williams. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; three daughters, Tonja Challis Branson and Ray Troub, Carnegie, OK, Sheila Ray and husband, Mark and Billie Jo Challis, both of Clinton and granddaughter Nikki Barber and husband, Chance, Lawton. He is also survived by brother Ray Challis and his wife Bettye. He is also survived by Aunts, Lois Williams Florence and Lenora. nieces Brenda Lehew, Julie Lombard and Tina Ennis; nephews Dewayne Jones, Jr., Terry Lee Elston, Ricky Challis and wife Tina and Billy Don Challis; Grandniece, (Bonus Granddaughter) Katelee Lehew and other grandnieces and nephews. Some members of the family have Covid, and request you wear a mask.
