Funeral services for Blanca Estella Harper, age 66, former Arapaho resident, is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 12, 2019 at the Clinton Church of Christ, with Pat Peters officiating, and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery. Born Blanca Estella Ramos to Pedro and Maria Hinjosa in Westlaco, Texas on September 25, 1952. Raised by Juan Espinoza and Maria. They moved from town to town in Oklahoma, until making Colony their home. She started school in Mt. View and Colony elementary schools. When Colony and Corn Consolidated, she went to Washita Heights in Corn where she graduated. In 1970 she married Leon Harper, and moved to Weatherford. She worked at the fiberglass factory and Southwestern Memorial Hospital as an aide, until Leon was moved to Oklahoma City to start his law enforcement career. They then moved back because Leon was stationed in Clinton. Estella was enrolled in nursing school at Burns Flat in 1976 and obtained her LPN license. She went to work for C.B. Cunningham until he retired, then worked for the Dialysis Unit for about 7 years before going to Home Health. She also worked for Action Associates as an interpreter, and whatever else was needed of her. She is preceded in death by her husband Leon and her mother. She is survived by 2 daughters, Christina Marie and her husband Chad Wright of Vinegrove, KY., Amanda Michelle and husband Bob Flores of Wooster, OH, 5 grand children, and 1 great grandson.
