Funeral Services for Robert Flaming, 75, Clinton resident will be held 10:30 Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Kevin Poulson and Jackson Sweet. Burial will follow in the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Robert Paul Flaming was born November 11, 1946, to George and Lois (Barrick) Flaming in Clinton, OK. He went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 28, 2022, in his Clinton home surrounded by family and friends.
He was raised in Clinton, OK and Denver, CO and he graduated from Clinton High School 1964. After he completed high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army on February 13, 1965 and served his country for six years.
For most of his life, he worked in the Trucking Industry and retired at the age of 71.
One of his greatest passions was going to church and he was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born on June 2, 2002, by Brother Kent McAbee.
He was an avid fan of Louis Lamour Westerns, John Wayne, and Oklahoma University Football.
He is preceded in death by his mother, dad, and stepfathers, Clayton Johnson and Albert Stout.
He is survived by, his loving wife, Tonjua, of the home, daughters, Darla Waldron and husband, Jim, Casper, WY, Kristi Dodd, Sara Hicks, and Suzzi Dixon, all of Clinton, OK, son, Stetson Flaming, OKC, OK, brother, James Flaming, of Kansas and nephew Kelley, OKC, OK.
He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
