Funeral Services for Bob Howard, 90, former Clinton Fireman and Postal Service employee will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 5, 2016 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bill Howard. Burial will conclude in the Custer Masonic Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral. Robert Dee Howard was born September 9, 1925 in Clinton, OK and passed away early Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, OK. Bob was raised in Custer City area and attended his schooling in Custer City. He was drafted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and spent two years and was a German Prisoner of War. He was released and honorably discharged in 1945. He returned to Custer County and worked as a surveyor for the County. He later began a career with the Clinton Fire Department and worked his way up to 1st Assistant Fire Chief before changing over to a volunteer fireman and retired after 20 years. He started his second career with the U.S. Postal Service and served them 20 year retiring in 1989. He was married to Katherine Olene Williams on May 16, 1946 in Wheeler, TX and they made their home in Clinton and she preceded him death in January 29, 1984. He later married Clarice Yvonne Ellis on January 16, 1988 in Clinton and they have made their home in Canute and Elk City. He has been in failing health for the past year and has been a resident of the Grace Living Center since October 2015. He was attending the Methodist Church, and had been a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sisters, Gloria Howard, Joye Howard and a son, Lonnie Howard. He is survived by wife, Yvonne Howard, of the home, daughter, Cynthia Rose Moore and husband, Gerry, Uvalde, TX, a son, Donald Gene Howard and wife, Kathleen, Mesa, AZ; sister Norma Whisman, and three brothers, Bill Howard and wife, Karen, Herbert Howard and wife, LeAnn and Gary Howard and wife, Faye all of the Tulsa area. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Amberdawn Moore, Bonn, Germany, Adam Beaty, Tempe, AZ and Ann Cabano, and four great-grandchildren, Abby, Alannah, Joey Cabano and Jacob Beaty and one great-great grandchild, Lim Cabano-Salano.
