Funeral Services for Bobby J. Elliott, 79, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Bobby Joe Elliott was born May 8, 1935 to Carl Leroy Elliott and Cecil (Weir) Elliott in Leedey, OK and lost his battle to cancer on Monday, September 15, 2014 in his Clinton home. Bobby started his young life in Lions, Kansas where he started school. His dad passed away when Bobby was a young boy and the family moved to Clinton, Oklahoma. Bobby continued his schooling in the Clinton Public Schools graduating in 1954. Bobby excelled in Industrial Arts in shop and many of the skills he learned there were used throughout his life. He married Eva Snider on December 19, 1954 in Weatherford, OK. She was his soul mate of nearly 60 years. In 1956 bobby went to work at the State Highway Department and spent the majority of his working years there. He worked for Milchem Inc. during the earlier oil field years then went back to the Highway Department until his retirement. After retirement, Bobby worked for the City of Clinton for a number of years and then helped his grandson Robert at Beaver Express. Bobby was always successful at most activities, he has trophy's and certificates for his participation in golfing, racing, playing pool and his southwest Playhouse trophy's says, "Best Character Actor-Sophi. The obvious winner in his interests is racing, this has united the generations, Carl, Robert and Race in a common lifetime interest. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Rodney, daughter in law, Angie (Thornton) Elliott, great-grandson Darren Ernst, in laws, Berna and Frieda Snider and their children, Waneta, R.C., Lloyd and Orville, and Duane. He is survived by his wife, of the home, son, Carl Elliott, grandson Robert Elliott and his wife Deann, and great-grandson, Race Elliott all of Clinton, one sister Carlene Gravlee and Gerald of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, two brothers, Jack Elliott and Dorothy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Larry Dodson and Lee-Lee, of Yukon, Ok, his brothers and sisters in law, Doris, Maxine, Jeanette and Gordon, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
