Funeral Services for Buddy L. Young, 84, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 22, 2013 in the First Church of God, officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs and burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Buddy Lee Young was born March 18, 1929 to Jimmy Lee Young and Laura (Cox) Young in near Foss in Washita County, OK and passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton, OK. Buddy was raised and attended school in Clinton, Houston, TX and Canute, OK. In 1946 he put his graduating from high school on hold and enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1948 and when he returned home he graduated from Canute High School. He was married to Wanda L. Flowers on December 24, 1950 in Clinton. They made their home in Elk City for a brief time and then he took a job on a Ranch in Windthorst, TX where he spent six years. They moved back to Oklahoma where he worked with his father in law at the Mershon Salvage. He finally started a career with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company and served them for over 34 years and retired as Forman in 1986. He was a member of the First Church of God; he enjoyed doing woodworking and he and his wife Wanda, traveled extensively in their mobile home. He was preceded in death by his parents, a great-grandson, Isaiah Lee Stone and a brother Gene Young. He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of the home, a son Gary Young and his wife, Saundra, OKC, two grandchildren, Lee Anne Stone and her husband, Renzi and Matt Young, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Walker Stone, all of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by a great-aunt, Goldie Kinney, of Clinton and numerous cousins and other family. The family will greet guest 5:00 P.M. till 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 21, 2013 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel
