Funeral Services for Calvin C. Harrelson, 78, former Clinton Postmaster, will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 18, 2014 in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney and Jeff McDowell and burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Calvin Curtis Harrelson was born December 12, 1935 to Vernie and Laoma (Huey) Harrelson in Stafford, OK and passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. Calvin was raised on the family farm southwest, he graduated from Stafford High School in 1954. He soon enlisted in the U.S. Army and spent three years before being honorably discharged. He returned home and attended Southwestern State College. He began a career with the U.S. Post Office in 1959, serving in numerous capacities and retiring as Post Master in 1994. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, he enjoyed the outdoors and loved to golf. He served two terms on the Clinton City Council, 1976 thru 1980; he was a past president of the Evening Lions Club; served as director of the Westhoma Federal Credit Union for six years and three years of that was president. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie in April of 2012, his parents and a sister, Letha Sawatzky. He is survived by four children, Kim Stringer and husband, Steve, of Yukon, Kevin Harrelson, Clinton, Kurt Harreslon and wife, Terri, Clinton and Randy Harreslon and wife, Vicki, of Yukon; sister, Edna Digby, Weatherford and Geneva Digby, Amarillo, TX, three brothers, Ronnie Harrelson and wife, Frances, Herman Harrelson and wife, Faye, all of Clinton and Gilbert Harrelson, Weatherford. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Nick Stringer and his fiancé, Kaitlin Stringer, Kyle Stringer and Quinton Harrelson.
