A Memorial Service for Candy Mueller, 69, former Clinton educator will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, February 6, 2017, in the Tornado Dome, officiated by Pastor Jerry Lamb and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Candace Sue Mueller was born October 25, 1947 to Harold F. Comer and Mary Helen (Acre) Comer in Thomas, OK and passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 in the Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Candy was raised in Fay, OK and after graduating high school she attended Southwestern Oklahoma State College in Weatherford, OK and received a physical education degree and later returned to earn her Masters degree in math. She started her teaching career in 1969 by teaching math and coaching girls basketball at Clinton Junior High School. She continued to coach and teach math at all levels from middle school to high school for over 46 years. She retired in May 2016 but she has continued supporting many athletic events. Candy was a longtime faithful and active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church; she enjoyed fishing, ball playing especially softball, fishing, needlepoint, fishing, taking road trips, fishing, attending all athletic events at Clinton Schools and more fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Don, of the home, daughter, Canda Mueller and husband, Jamie Sharp, Arapaho, son, Will Mueller and wife, Jenny, Clinton; two grandchildren Janelle and John Sharp; two sisters, Judy Yates and husband, Mickey, Blair, OK and Leanna McMullin, Middleton, OK. She is also survived by a special niece Lori Hamburger, Barnsdall, OK. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contributing may do so to the Clinton Public School Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 822, Clinton, Oklahoma 73601.
