A Chapel Service for Carl M. Williams, 84, Leedey resident, will be held 10:00 Thursday, September 12, 2013 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, burial will follow in the Center Point Cemetery near Leedey, OK under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Carl Marvin Williams was born February 22, 1929 to Marvin and Mary (Cordes) Williams in Butler, OK and passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 in Mercy Hospital in the Oklahoma City, OK. Carl was raised in Custer and Dewey County and graduated from Leedey High School in 1947. He started his farming career before he married Lela Evalyene Thornbrough on May 18, 1952 in Clinton. They farmed for a couple of years and in 1954 he started working for The Soil Conservation. He worked in Clinton, Wewoka and Oklahoma City and retired after 20 years in 1974. He went back to his farming and ranching in the Leedey area and has done that until the present. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leedey. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, of the home, two daughters, Debra richter and husband, John, Jr., of Leedey and Terri Edwards and husband, rick, of Woodward; his aunt Elsie Willson, Grand Junction, CO. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristian Houghtling, Jennie Corr and Austin Fox and three great-grandchildren, Jayden Corr, Jase Corr and Alaina Houghtling and six step-great grandchildren,.
