Carol Janet Britton

A memorial service for Jan Britton, 72, former Corn resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 15, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel., officiated by Rev. Dean Broo shier, under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Carol Janet Briton was born March 22, 1943 to Everett Hixson and Hazel (Cherry) Hixon in Ft. Smith, AR and passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in the United Methodist Health Care Center. Jan was raised in Muldrow, OK where she graduated from high school in 1961. She was employed with the Gas Company in Ft. Smith, AR before moving to Western, OK. She had settled in Corn in 1974 and was employed at the Bessie Y, Kellwood Factory and Tina's Restaurant in Corn. She was an avid reader, she loved animals and loved hosting and going to garage sales. She was married to Jim Briton in 1999 in Tulsa, OK. He as preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Diana Wise and husband Tom, of Clinton and Robin Roberts-Leonard and husband, Eric, of Edmond, OK; three sons, Tom Green, of Arapaho and Brian an Blaine Green both of Muldrow, OK; two sisters, Sheryl Welch, of Tulsa, OK and Pam Hixson, of Tahlequah. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
