Carolyn Jane Sawatzky

Funeral Service for Carolyn Sawatzky, 74, Bessie resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in the Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Charlie Murphy and Sandy Shepherd. Burial will follow in the Parkersburg Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Carolyn Jane Sawatzky was born August 2, 1945 to Edward J. and Margaret (Willems) Fadenrecht in Stratton, CO and passed away early Saturday, January 04, 2020 in the Oklahoma University Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Carolyn was raised in Joes, Colorado and graduated from Joes High School in 1964. She was employed at the Dairy Queen in Joes. During harvest season she met Roy C. Sawatzky and they were married on February 11, 1966 in Joes, CO. They made their home in Oklahoma and settled in Bessie. She was employed at the Old Oklahoma General Hospital in Housekeeping before beginning a 35 year career with the Clinton Public Schools as a dietician. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church; enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with family; she always enjoyed her coffee time with friends and family and her daily walks. She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Rubena. She is survived by husband, Roy, of the home, two daughters, Celesta Ensminger and husband, Leslie, Davis, OK, Cynthia Gagne and husband, Joe, Clinton OK; one son Charles Sawatzky and wife Sandra, Clinton, OK; three sisters Linda Hoffman and husband, Gary, Viola Sawatzky both of Clinton and Lavina Koehn and husband Rick, Enid, OK. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brent Sawatzky, Blake Sawatzky, Joshua Sawatzky, Roy Stucker, Charles Sawatzky, Jr., Reagan Gagne and Addyson Gagne; 11 great-grandchildren, Lexi Sawatzky, Taylor Sawatzky, Anthony Hayes, Aaron Sawatzky, Ty Short, Hunter Short, Macie Sawatzky, Avery Sawatzky, Gray Stucker, Braxtyn Taylor and one on the way.
