Charlene Mae Wells

A funeral Service for Charlene Wells, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 23, 2013 in the Kiesau memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Buck Nicholson and burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Charlene Mae Wells was born October 25, 1918 to Clarence L. and Amy (Hill) Swearingen Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, December 19, 2013 in the Grace Living Center in Clinton. Mrs. Wells was raised in the Clinton and attended her schooling at the Union School which was located on her parents land. She was married to Mr. W. C. "Bill" Wells, Sr. in 1936 in Cordell, OK. They made their home in Oregon, California and settled back in the Clinton area in 1943. They farmed for many years and raised cattle west of Clinton and Mr. Wells preceded her in death in September of 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers and a grandson, Charles Wells. She is survived by three sons, Bill Wells, Jr. and wife, Alfreda, Darrell Wells and Bruce Wells all of Clinton and a daughter, Shelia (Wells) Cranford, of Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren 8 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
