A grave side service for Charles Calder, Jr., will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the Parkersburg Cemetery officiated by family members and under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
Charles Some Calder, Jr., was born March 28, 1943, to Charles, Sr., and Florence (Bean) Calder in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and passed away Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Cordell Memorial Hospital in Cordell, OK.
Charles was raised in Gloucester, Massachusetts and attended Gloucester High school. He enlisted into the U.S Air Force January 15, 1963, and was stationed at Burns Flat Air Force Base in Burns Flat, OK. He received his honorable discharged January 13, 1967.
He married Linda Ruth Clinton June 12, 1966, in Clinton, OK and they made Clinton their home. He was self employed and was a well-known handyman and was a “Jack of all trades”.
He was a member of the New Hope Fellowship Church and served as the Chaplain of the American Legion. He enjoyed messing with C. B. radios, electronics, cooking and just wheeling and dealing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a grandson, Tristen Wayne Livermore, son in law Gary Russell and two brothers, Westley Calder and Willis Calder.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sherrie Lynn Armstrong and husband, David, Mustang, OK and Cindy Russell, Grapevine TX, brother, Charles Some Calder, III, Lubbock, TX.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Stefan Armstrong, Hope Grady, Valerie Livermore, Dezirae, C. Calder, Dakota Neal Calder, and Danielle Nashay Calder.
