A Memorial Service for Charlie Shephard, 50, Arapaho resident will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 in the First United Method Church in Clinton officiated by Rev. Dean Brookshier and Sandy Shepherd under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Charles Lee Shephard was born January 6, 1963 to Murray Doyle Shephard and Evelyn (Hubert) Shephard in Clinton, Oklahoma and passed away early Monday, July 15, 2013 in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Charlie was raised in Arapaho and graduated from Arapaho High school in 1981. He went on Custom Harvesting before he attended college at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was married to Annie Ruth Newman on July 10, 1993 in Arapaho. The young couple made their home N.W. of Arapahowhere they had farmed and ranched since that time. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is a member of the Arapaho First United Methodist Church; heis a Boy Scouts of America Leader; he enjoyed the outdoors, he liked to fish, hunt and trap shoot. He is survived by his wife, Annie, a daughter, Laura and two sons, Isac and Brad, all of the home; three sisters, Charlotte Stidham and husband, Neil, Houston, TX, Sandra Rutherford and husband, Jay, Georgetown, TX and Beth Whitledge and husband, Eddie, Carter, OK and a brother, Bobby Shephard, Sayre, OK. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will greet guest in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel in the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 18, 2013. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Arapaho Alumni Association, box 182, Arapaho, OK 73620
