Funeral Services for Chazarae Pete Bearshield, 24, Custer County resident will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Ron Starr, Rev. Gerald Panana, Rev. Gerald Watson and Rev. Lawrence Hart and burial will conclude in the Clinton Indian Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. The family will greet guest 1:00 P.M., till 8:00 P.M., Sunday in the Chapel of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home. An all night wake service will start 7:00 P.M., Monday, October 29, 2012 in the Cheyenne Arapaho Community Building (new building west of the Lucky Star Casino. Chazarae Pete “Red Tall Bird” Bearshield was born October 18, 1988 to Mary Louise Bearshield and Garland Hadley in Clinton, Oklahoma and was found dead on October 23, 2012 near Clinton, Oklahoma. “Chaz” was raised and attended schools in Clinton and Weatherford. He started his working career doing day labor and roofing and he later worked in the eatery at the Lucky Star Casino in Clinton. He was preceded by his mother in 1998. He was of the Baptist faith, he enjoyed free style drawing, writing free style and playing with his little brothers. He is survived by his grandparents, Linda Prairie Chief, Clinton and, Pete and Gayle Bearshield and wife, Gayle, his father and step mother, Garland Hadley and Tammie Bearbow, El Reno, Ok, three sisters, Jennifer Bearshield, Clinton Mandy Mayfield, Stillwater, and Lindsey Kay Hadley, El Reno, OK, brothers, William Bearshield, Reggie Bearshield, Jesse Herrera, Gabriel Herrera and Ezekiel Herrera, all of Clinton. He is also survived by Aunt and Uncle Mary and Myron Beaver and a cousin Shanna Rae Beaver, nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends.
