Chester Lee

Funeral Services for Chester Lee, 85, Arapaho resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church in Arapaho, officiated by Rev. Wendell Folsom and Rev. Dean Brookshier. Burial will conclude in the Eakly Cemetery under the direction of the Keisau-Lee Funeral Home. Chester Leon Lee was born June 9, 1929 to Cecil Lee and Kibby (Kinder) Lee in Eakly, Oklahoma and passed away early Monday, April 27, 2015 in his Arapaho home. Mr. Lee was raised in Eakly as a young man and then during the Dust Bowl his family moved to California where he finished high school and graduated. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during WWII. He then returned to Oklahoma in Custer County and has lived in Arapaho for the past several years. He was married to Janet McCollum, and Olive Darnell and Edwina June Wilt on March 19, 1966, in Tanner, West Virginia. He has been employed at Clinton Laundry and most recently was employed with Mel Wells in the Amusement business, juke boxes, video games and coin operated machines. She is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chet Lee, a grandson, Blain Shindler, great-grandson, Jordan Hughes, brother, S.T. Lee and a sister, Hazel Lee. He was an Arapaho Volunteer Fire Fighter and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of almost fifty years, Edwina, of the home, six daughters, Kathy Williams and husband, Bruce, of CA, Theresa Lee, of California, Debbie Bowman and husband, Allen, of WY, Holly Jaramillo and husband, John, of KS, Leauna Shindler, of OK, Dale Carter, and husband, David, of KS; two sons, Mike Lee and wife, Margaret, of CA and Greg Lee, of Arapaho, OK; two sisters, Darlene Ford and husband, Rod, of Gage, OK and Doris Lee, of Cedar Lake, OK; two brothers Ralph Lee, of Clinton an Jack Lee and wife, Kay, of Clinton. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
