Funeral Services for Chuck Rollins, 71, Clinton, will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 21,2012 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dwayne Pankratz, and burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Charles J. Rollins, Jr., was born April 1,1941 to Charles and Eva (Edgerly) Rollins in New Market, New Hampshire and passed away Thursday, July 19,2012 in the Clinton Veterans Center in Clinton, OK. "Chuck" as he was known by his family and friends was raised in Exeter, New Hampshire. He went to his first rodeo when he was 8 years old and was able to see Roy Rogers perform and he also attended the Gene Aufrey Rodeo in the Boston Gardens at a young age. He graduated from High School in 1959. While in high school he was very athletic and excelled in basketball and was an accomplished jump roper; he and his sister were in a jump rope contest that was televised and they tied for first place. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force soon out of high school in August of 1959. He spent several years of duty in over seas assignments in Korea, Japan and Okinawa. While in the military he specialized in Morse code. He was later assigned to Clinton Sherman Air Force Base where he was discharged in May of 1970. He was married to Rosa Barker on January 27,1964 and later to Geraldine Meget in December 12,1981. He was employed as a service station attendant for several years. He was disabled in the military and has been active in the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (served as commander 91-93) as well as the Disabled American Veterans. He was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife, Geraldine Meget-Rollins, son, Larry Rollins. He is survived by two sisters, Beverly Vincent Exeter, New Hampshire and Jane Keyworth, Mansfield, Massachusetts and two brothers, Bill Tyrel, Exeter, New Hampshire and Richard Tyrel and his wife, Michelle, Olathe, KS. Three step-sons, Mark Bernard, Clinton, James Johnson and wife Yvette, Arapaho and Clyde Johnson, Jr. and wife, Tammy, Rock Port, TX and four step-daughters, Martha Kennemeyer, Wayne, OK, Tammy Craddick and husband, Davis, Lubbock, TX, Virginia Penrod and husband Kirt, Tulsa and Arlene Harmonson, Clinton. He is also survived by several grandchildren including, Johnathon Johnson, Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews.
