Funeral Services for Clara Fawver, 96, former Butler resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Clara Elizabeth (Klein) Ford Fawver was born April 30, 1924 to Edd and Lela (Hughes) Klein, on a farm, northwest of Butler, Oklahoma. She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 21st, 2020 at the Corn Heritage Village in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was raised on the family farm and attended school at Prairie Star until the 8th grade, she then attended Butler High School and graduated in 1942. She married Vernon J. Ford in September 1942. To this union three children were born, Larry Lee, Jimmy George, and Judy Ann. She later married Boyd M. Fawver on March 1975 in Clinton, Oklahoma. Clara lived in and around Butler most of her life except for about 5 years when she lived in Texas. She was employed with Butler Public School as cook for many years. She also served asthe Town Treasurer for Butler and employed at Edo Air and Kellwood’s in Clinton. She was a member at the German Free Will Baptist Church in Butler. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Nimble Thimble Club. Clara enjoyed traveling to antique tractor shows with Boyd. They made many friends and memories at the shows. Clara loved to sew and quilt and spent many hours with her sister Marie quilting and just enjoyed spending time together. Their quilts were beautiful and made with love. She made quilts long enough to make sure all of her kids and grandkids had their own quilt. She loved playing cards and marbles with her grandkids. She also loved nothing more than a good game of Rook. Her family loved her homemade chicken and noodles and she was well known for her canned lime pickles. Clara was a woman who loved and trusted the Lord and was saved and baptized at an early age. She is survived by her sons, Larry Ford and wife Mary of Leedey, Jimmy Ford and wife Donna of Stillwater, Daughter Judy Graybill and husband Robert of Clinton. She welcomed and loved her step children LaDonna Wells of Butler, Connie Haggard and husband Lonnie of Butler. Grandchildren Michael Ford and wife Debbie of Vidor, Texas, Sherry Hall and husband Joe of Slaton, Texas, Matt Graybill of Clinton, Hayley Begert and husband Bret of Allison, Texas, Emily Gaden and husband Jake of Edmond, LaCindra Carpenter and husband Charles of Hammon, Shonda Eagan and husband Burke of Butler, Shannon Sullivan and husband Kelly of Butler, Ryan Haggard and wife Amanda of Weatherford, and Caylon Haggard and wife Candace of Nine Mile Falls, Washington. 23 great grand-children and 4 great great grand-children. She is also survived by her brothers Lee Klein and wife Betty of Oklahoma City, Griffie Klein and Wanda of Wichita, Kansas, Arthur Klein of Butler and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Lela Klein, husband Boyd Fawver, sister Marie Graham, brother Calvin Klein, brother in law Claude Graham, and sister in laws Melba Klein, Beulah Klein, and Irene Klein and daughter in law Sue Ford.
