Funeral Services for Cleburn Dotson, 73, Bethany resident and former Arapaho resident will be held 3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 18, 2015 in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Tom Alley. Burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Cleburn Dale Dotson was born November 17, 1941 to Coleman and Margaret (Stanley) Dotson in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma and passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 on his 31st wedding anniversary, in his Bethany home. Cleburn was raised in Cromwell, Oklahoma and graduated from Excelsior High School in 1960. He was married to Dee Ann Robinson in 1962. He made his home in Arapaho for over 45 years. He served as jailer at the Custer County Court House in Arapaho starting in 1987 and retired in 2004, having served for over 17 years. He was later married to Kathryn Downing on July 14, 1984 in Arapaho. He retired in December of 2004 and moved to Bethany, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents. He attended the Bethany Baptist Church in Bethany, OK; in younger years he enjoyed the outdoors and camping; he like to garden, and work in his shop. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn, of the home, daughter, Amy Griffith and husband, Shaughn, of OKC, OK and three sons, Eddie Dotson and wife, Ronna, Darren Dotson and wife, Michele, and Kevin Hamlin all of Yukon; two sisters, Shirley Venn and husband, LT. Col Raymond Venn, of Claremore, OK, Blanche Collins and husband, Charles, of Wewoka, OK. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Tiffany Grochowsky, Derek Dotson, Zoey Culpepper, Bryce Griffith, Holly Hoffman, Jill Dotson, Josh Dotson, Colby Griffith and Shaun Vanzant and husband, Zack and numerous nieces and nephews. The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the American Cancer Society.
