Funeral Services for Coequetta “Cow” Riggs, 61, Norman resident and formerly of Custer City will be held 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the Kiesau Memorial, officiated by family and friends and burial will follow in the Arapaho Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Coequetta Lanell (Shindler) Riggs was born July 22, 1960 to Lanell (Stroud) Shindler and Thomas Bell Shindler in Thomas, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 in the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, OK. “Cow” was raised and attended school in Custer City and Mustang, OK. She was married to Charley Manford Riggs on March 20, 1991 in Fayetteville, AR. They were a truck driving team and traveled extensively on their 18 wheeler. Hew preceded her in death. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews. She often laughed and said her hobby was “men”. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Penny Gonzales and sister, Velma Hertz and Brother-In- Laws father Tedd Hertz. She is survived by her caregivers and nieces, Lacy Harris and Davyn Hertz, Charlie Golden and Viola Velma Wooden, all of Norman. She is also survived by a daughter, Heather McCoy, and husband, Jimmie, Bullard, TX; three sons, Danny Curruth, Tyler, TX, George Carruth, and wife, Amy, Beaumont, TX and Jerry Spencer, Yantis, TX; brother in law, Bill Hertz, Choctaw, OK; Aunt Judy Leach, Flint, TX., Aunt Cheryl Friesen of Custer City, and Uncle G.W. Stroud and wife Sherrie of Flint, TX. She is also survived by multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
