Funeral Services for Cindy Cloninger, 74, Clinton resident will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 4, 2020 in Clinton’s Crossings Assembly of God Church, officiated by Pastor’s Stanley Botts and Pastor William Jenkins, Jr. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Cynthia Ann Cloninger was born August 17, 1946 to Janie (Hickman) Everhart and Ray Cook in Austin, Texas and passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in the Clinton Alliance Health Emergency Room. Cindy was raised in Austin, Texas and Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. She attended school in Lone Wolf and spent most of her summers in Austin. She moved to the Lawton area after her schooling and worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and served as the PX Operator at Fort Sill Army Base. She moved to Clinton in 1968 and married Joe Cloninger May 21, 1985 in Wheeler, Texas. Joe and Cindy owned and operated Carpet Corner and Carpet Corner Eatery for several years. She also operated a Vintage Variety Store and worked estate sales and garage sales for others. Cindy was a waitress as well and worked at several of the local restaurants and her last place of employment was at TC’s Restaurant. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Enid and had been active as music director in other churches. She loved music and loved to sing; she entertained at different nursing homes and the Veterans Center. She loved to shop and most of all she loved going to garage sales. She is preceded in death by her father, step-dad, Wllie Everhart; daughter, Tamra Lynn Sylvia, grandson, Shawn Elston, brother, Bennie Everhart, Sr.; sister in law, Belinda Brown. She is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home, daughter, Kathy Huckabay and husband, Kendall, Weatherford, three sons, Bobby Elston, and wife, Brenda, of Georgia, Tommy Ladd, II and wife, Lori, Clinton and Chris Cloninger and wife, McKinsey, Clinton; her mother, Janie Everhart, Clinton and brother, Billy Joe Everhart and wife, Sue, Osage City, Kansas. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
