Danny Elston

Funeral Services for Danny Elston, 79, Arapaho and Clinton businessman, will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023, in the First Christian Church, officiated by Doyle Kinney. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Danny Dale Elston was born July 4, 1944, to Johnny & Vera Peyton Elston in Rocky, OK and passed away August 31, 2023, in his home in Arapaho surrounded by his loving family.

Danny graduated from Rocky High School in 1962 and later attended IBEW Electrical School.

He is married to the former Linda Arington and they have spent their entire married life in Arapaho, OK where they own and operate Danny Elston Electric.

His greatest treasure in life was his family. He loved family vacations

and loved watching his grandkids in all their sports and activities.

He was an avid trapshoot.  During the summer him, Linda and grandson Corbin would travel to numerous states to shoot competition trap. The rest of the family always joins them for a week, usually on the 4th of July to celebrate Danny’s birthday. Danny and Linda also enjoyed traveling and were fortunate enough to see all 50 states and several countries.

He was a lifetime member of Amateur Trap Association and the Oklahoma Trap and Skeet Association where he served on the board for 23 years and served two terms as President. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Trap Shooters Hall of Fame in 2007, he was a member of the Clinton Gun Club, and he was responsible for helping acquire their new clubhouse and served on the board where he served as president for many years. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association remained active.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Terry Elston, a granddaughter Ashley Grybowski and his in-laws Paul and Frances Arington.

He is survived by his wife, Linda of the home in Arapaho, daughter Lisa Grybowski and husband, Brett of Arapaho, grandson, Corbin Grybowski, Woodward, OK, granddaughter Kinley Grybowski of Arapaho, OK, son, Bobby Elston and wife Brenda, grandson Bobby Elston Jr. and wife Peighton and granddaughter, Brittany Beeman all of Nashville, Georgia.
