Funeral Services for Darlene Smith, 82, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 7, 2016 in the Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Charley Murphy, Sandy Shepherd and Basil McClure. Burial will follow in the Parkersburg Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Darlene Maye Smith was born May 2, 1934 to Levi Madison Stockton and Ilo (Hann) Stockton in Arapaho, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 in the Alliance Health Clinton. Darlene was raised in Stafford, OK. She was married to J.C. Smith on May 12, 1952 in Clinton before he was shipped off to war. She continued her senior year at Stafford and graduated as salutatorian from her High School in 1953. After Mr. Smith return from the military they made their home in Clinton and then moved to California for a few years. The family settled back in Clinton in 1956 where they have made their home. She has worked for J.C. Penney Company, Clinton Hospital, and she co-owned and operated the Dairy Boy in Arapaho, C.R. Anthony Store, and Clinton School Cafeteria as well as volunteering at the Wear It Again Store. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Robert (Bob) Stockton, William (Bill) Stockton and Levi Stockton, Jr. She is survived by her husband, J.C. of the home and a daughter Diana (smith) Cariker and husband, Dennis, of Norman, James (Jimmy) Smith and wife, Linda, Clinton and Philip Smith and wife Norma, Burns Flat, OK; two brothers, Kenneth Stockton and Eldon Stockton, both of Clinton, and sister, Belle Kelley, Weatherford. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Carre' Dawson and husband, Billy, Weatherford, Neil Glance, Clinton, James "Bubba" Smith and wife, Jennifer, Oklahoma City, Julie Lewis and husband d, Aaron, Oklahoma City, Chris Pitts, New York and Four great-grandchildren, Seth Glance, Adrianna Glance, Dylan Lewis and Noah Lewis and a great granddaughter on the way.
