David Lee Clinton

November 23, 1950 — February 7, 2014

A Chapel Service for David Clinton, 63, lifetime Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 11, 2014, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs and burial will follow in the Parkersburg Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. David Lee Clinton was born November 23, 1950 to Bobby Lee Clinton and Mable Ruth (Culver) Clinton in Clinton Oklahoma and passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 in the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. David was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1970. He soon joined the United State Marines and served a tour in Viet Nam and as well as other overseas assignments. He was honorably discharged in 1979. He returned to Clinton where he served in the National Guards Reserves. He worked with his father doing carpentry and home construction. He continued his education at Southwestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford where he received his bachelor's degree. He moved to Marlow and was employed with Halliburton, however he moved back to Clinton and worked with his father in construction. He was forced to medically retire in 2004. He enjoyed doing Nursing home ministry, he enjoyed working with his hands and loved sports especially watching Red Tornado Sports. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by hiswife, Sherry, of the home, two daughters, Lauren Smith, of Clinton, OK and Melanie Smith, of Healdton, OK and a son, Joshua Lamb and wife, Hope, Las Vegas, NV; sister, Linda Calder, of Elk City, OK and two brothers, Bobby Lee Clinton, Jr., of Clinton, OK and Craig Gergen, Abilene, TX. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Serenity, Riley, Brooklynn, Chase, Dalton, Sasha, Tiffanie, Serenity and Dyvine.
