A Graveside Service for Dolly McLerran, 85, Cordell Christian Home resident, will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 18, 2013 in the Lawnview Cemetery in Cordell, Oklahoma, officiated by Chaplain Dennis King and burial will be under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Dolly (Franklin) McLerran was born December 5, 1928 to Chester D. "Jack" and Dott (Bast) Franklin in Cordell, Oklahoma and passed away Wednesday morning, October 16, 2013 in the Cordell Christian Home. Dolly was raised in the Cordell area and attended school in Cloud Chief graduating in 1946. She married Everett McLerran on December 20, 1946 and they made their home in Cordell before moving to Sierra Vista, Arizona. She worked at the Mode O Day Ladies Dress Shop for several years. She moved back to Oklahoma in 1977 settling in Elk City, OK and worked as a desk clerk at the Flamingo Motel until her retirement. She has been a resident of the Cordell Christian Home for the past three years. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, entertaining and dinners and always enjoyed road trips. She was preceded in death by a husband, Everett McLerran, her parents, two sons, Roger and Everett and a daughter, Rita Sims and two brothers, Gene Franklin and Barry Franklin. She is survived a daughter, Yvonne Terral and husband, Kenneth, Jonesboro, LA and a son, Curtis McLerran and wife, Linda, Burns Flat, OK. She is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
