Funeral services for Tech Sergeant Donald W. Deimund, U.S.A.F. retired will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 20, 2019 in the Arapaho First Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Don Lacy and burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Donald Walter Deimund was born March 4, 1937 to Walter E. and Opal Laverne (Thieret) Deimund in Perryville MO., and passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 in the V.A. Hospital in Oklahoma City. Don was raised in Missouri until his teen years and he moved to Sparta, IL., where he graduated from high school in 1955. He soon joined the U.S. Air Force on March 21, 1956. He married Mildred Brehm on August 16, 1957 in Clinton. They traveled extensively during his military career. He spent two tours of duty in Vietnam before retiring in 1976. The Deimund's returned to Clinton and Don has been employed with Clinton Lumber Company, Vetrans Center, K-Mart Stores, David Howe Motors, and Clinton Laundry and has worked as a security officer for over 10 years. He retired in 2000. He was a member of the Arapaho Baptist Church, life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans and American Legion and he is also a member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed fishing, leather work, and camping. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, a sister Lois L. Koester, a brother Ronald Deimund, and a granddaughter Brette Logan Deimund. He is survived by 3 sons, Richard Deimund and wife Marca of Cimarron KS., Mike Deimund and Gayla Janning of Knoxville TN., Tim Deimund and wife Debbie of Edmond, Brother in law Leonard Koester of Red Bud IL., six grandsons Jeremy, Aaron, Mark, Matthew, Connor, and Jared Deimund, 4 great granddaughters Mackenna, Rylee, Hallie, and Sydney Deimund, and 2 great grandsons Jake and Landen Deimund.
