Dora Marie Winsett

Funeral Services for Marie Winsett, 87, Hobart resident, will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 9, 2022, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Justin Munden. Burial will follow in the Odessa Cemetery North of Gotebo, OK. Dora Marie (Johnson) Winsett was born November 28, 1934, to Dave and Cora Lee (Rouse) Johnson in Limestone, AL and passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in her Hobart, OK home. Marie or “Grannie Marie” as she is known by her family and friends was raised and attended school in Limestone, AL. She married Woodrow Winsett in 1952. They made their first home in Altus and later moved to Hobart in 1966. She became well known in her community because of her” colorful personality. SHE LOVED “BINGO”, she enjoyed her trips to the Casino with the girls. Big-a-Burger was a favorite, fishing, gardening, traveling, and she was known for her good cooking, and she often cooked for family and friends and was known to speak her mind out loud and she was spoiled by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Dennis Winsett and great grandson, Kooper Preston and 12 brothers and sisters, son in in law, John Henry Ward. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Fueglein and husband, Steve, Pampa, TX and Gayle Ward, OKC OK, son, Jimmy Winsett, Hobart, OK. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristie, Joey, Kaysi, Kyler, Kassi, Taylor and Luke and 11 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
