Funeral Services for Doris Johnson, 88, Clinton resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 16, 2018 in the First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Buddy Hunt. Burial will conclude in the Stafford Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau Lee Funeral Home. Doris Rae Johnson was born October 15, 1930 to Jack and Anna (Elmore) Harris in Marion, North Carolina and passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 in the Heritage Point Memory Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Doris was raised in Marion, North Carolina and graduated from Marion High school in 1947. She continued her education at Gardener Webb College in Boiling Springs, North Carolina then she moved to the Midwest in Forth Worth, Texas and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. She moved to Elk City in 1957 to be the Education Director of the First Baptist Church. She married Henry Leon Johnson in December 12, 1959. She also served as the Education Director in Burns Flat for many years and she currently was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clinton. She is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, J.D. Harris, James Harris and Tom Harris. She is survived by her husband Leon Johnson, of the Home, two daughters, Barbara Marlett and husband, Don, of Yukon, OK and Regina Bloom, Yukon, OK,; sister, Mildred Pettit, Marion, North Carolina and Sybil Owenby, Gaffney, South Carolina.' She is also survived by four grandchildren, Erin, Austin, Claire and James and two great grandchildren Avery and Harper.
