Funeral Services for Dorothy M. Russell, 83, Clinton resident will be held 1:00 P.m., Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the KiesauMemorial Chapel, officiated by Matt Peters and burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Dorothy Marie (Allen) Russell was born November 25, 1929 to Richard D. and Ruby Pearl (Hardin) in Rayburn, TX and passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2013 in the Cordell Christian Home in Cordell, OK. Dorothy was raised and attended school in Cleveland, TX. She married John E. Russell on August 13, 1948 in Bellville, TX. He was working in the oil fields and they traveled extensively, however spent a number of years in Bastrop, TX. They moved to Clinton, OK in 1999 and she has been a resident of the Cordell Christian Home for the past year. She was a member of the Church of Christ; she enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and working in her flowerbeds. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Edith Nell Allen and Ruth Chapman. She is survived by her husband, John Russell, of the Clinton home, two sons, John A. Russell and his wife, Janelle, Clinton and Tim Russell and his wife, Cathy, Bixby, OK and two sisters, Gladys Everett, of Shepard, TX and Linda Ruonavar, of Porter, TX. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
