Dorothy “Dody” Marie Walker, 93, longtime Clinton resident quietly went to be with the lord on Monday October 29, 2012 in her Clinton home. She moved to Clinton with her loving husband, Donald Walker in 1952. When her youngest child started school; she began working at the Norbest turkey plant and served them for many years as well as working in the drapery department at Kellwood Factory where she later retired. She enjoyed her retirement and focused her attention on quilting and sewing. Dody and husband Donald owned and operated the Walker Repair Service. She was preceded in death by her loving husband in 1997 after 57 years of marriage. Together they raised five children who survive her, Jerry and Wife Carol of Oolagah, OK, Donalda McKellips of Weatherford, OK, Ronnie Walker of Clinton, OK, Karen and her husband Joe Jordan of Grand Prairie, TX and Marsha and husband, Ricky Poff of Arlington, TX. Dody is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren along with a host of sisters, nieces, nephews and close friends. She will certainly be missed being seen around town taking her daily walks. By the request of Mrs. Walker there will be no funeral services and burial will be under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home.
