Funeral services for Doyle R. Irvin, 86, lifelong Putnam resident will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday , July 7, 2014 in the First Christian Church in Putnam, Oklahoma officiated by David Beck. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Putnam, OK under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. Doyle was born April 3, 1928 to Emmitt A. Irvin and Minnie Florence (Loy) Irvinin Thomas, Oklahoma and passed away Thursday July 3, 2014 in the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. Mr. Irvin was raised in Putnam, Oklahoma and graduated from Putnam High school in 1946. He entered the U.S. Army and spent two years before he was honorably discharge. He was married to Zella (Stone)Garner on July 9, 1965 in Altus, OK. They lived on the family farm where he farmed and lived his whole life. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Zella, and two sisters, twin, ClestaFae and, Vera Roades. He is survived by two sisters, Frances Beadles of Clinton, OK and Jeanelda Busch, of OKC, Ok; numerous cousins including Bob Roades, of Waukomis, OK; three daughters, Carolyn Frans and husband Doug, of Edmond, OK, Sue McWhorter and husband, Roland, of Lawton, OK, andJanice Warren, of Duke, OK and two sons, Bill Garner and wife, Judy, of Putnam and Jackie Garner and wife, Cheryl, of Belton, TX.He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Lori Harrod, Ralph Warren, Suzie McWhorter, Jason Garner, Lance Garner, Kari Garner, Jami Jara and Kyle Frans, and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great—grandchildren. The family has suggested those wanting to make a memorial contribution may do so to the Putnam School Community Building, C/O Linda Carpenter, RR #1 Box 52AA, Putnam, OK 73659.
